Remedies Pharmacies and Clinics have opened four Rapid Antigen Testing Centres to detect COVID-19 in an individual within 15 minutes. The centres are located at Remedies Birkirkara, Remedies Ta' Xbiex, Remedies Mqabba and Remedies Mellieha.

STANDARD Q COVID-19 Ag Test by SDBiosensor is an in vitro diagnostic use to detect Coronavirus antigens. A Remedies representative said, "The nasal swab test is administered by health care professionals who have the necessary set-up and protective gear in our testing centres". They added that, "the test may be administered on people who do or do not display symptoms and has 96% sensitivity. It can diagnose the SARS-CoV-2 antigen from 1-2 days before the symptom onset to 5-7 days after the symptom onset. If taken too early, or too late, it could result in a false negative." Hence, it works as an initial screening for those who had contact with an infected person, were in a high risk environment or for routine screening, but it does not replace PCR.
