There were 141 new Covid-19 cases reported Saturday, while 159 patients recovered from the virus.

The health authorities said that the total number of cases has now reached 8,822, with 111 deaths, the last three reported today.

The number of active cases has now dropped slightly to 2,146. The total number of patients who recovered is now 6,565.

There were 3,391 swab tests carried out, with the total number jumping to 401,904.

The cases reported Saturday are still being investigated.

From those reported on Friday, 20 were family members of previously known cases, 21 were contacts with work colleagues and 11 were direct contacts with other positive cases.
