Government publishes updated Amber List

The list of countries from where people visiting Malta have to present a negative Covid-19 certificate has been updated.

Visitors from these countries must present a negative PCR Covid-19 test performed no later than seventy-two (72) hours before arrival in Malta.

Travellers arriving in Malta from any of the said countries who fail to produce such a test may be submitted to testing in Malta and may be subject to quarantine.

The full list is as follows:

Austria, Belgium (all airports), Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France (all airports), Germany (all airports), Hungary, Ireland (all airports), Italy (all airports except Sicily and Sardegna), Luxembourg, Netherlands (all airports), Poland (all airports), Portugal (all airports), Spain (all airports), Switzerland (all airports), Tunisia, United Kingdom (all airports).

The list sees all of France included, along with all of the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, all of Spain, all of Portugal, Germany, and most of Italy as well when compared to the last update to the list in October.

This notice regarding the revised list of countries shall come into effect on Friday 27 November, at midnight.
