No new deaths related to Covid-19 were reported in the daily update issued by health authorities on Tuesday as 115 new cases were found overnight.

128 people have recovered from the virus, which means that the number of active cases has decreased to 1,407.

2,797 swab tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of swab tests up to 508,856 so far.

Out of the 101 cases reported on Monday: 34 were family members of previously known cases, 18 were contacts of positive work colleagues, 8 were a cluster of cases who attended the same social activity, and 7 were direct contacts of positive cases.

With no deaths reported on Tuesday, the number of deaths related to the virus remains 215.

Malta has had 12,541 cases so far. 10,919 of them have recovered.
