Two 17-year-old boys were injured on Tuesday in a biking accident in Gozo, the police said.

The accident took place in Salvatur Street, Xewkija, at 5.45pm.

The two boys, both from Xewkija, were riding on a bike which went out of control and crashed.

The rider suffered slight injuries while the pillion rider was seriously hurt.

Both were taken to Gozo Hospital for treatment.
