A 13-year-old boy is in hospital after he was hit by a car in Rabat on Friday morning.

The police said that the incident happened in Vjal il-Haddiem in Rabat at around 8:45 in the morning on Friday.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the boy had been hit by a Toyota Vitz being driven by a 30-year-old woman who lives in Rabat.

The boy was later certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
