175 new cases of Covid-19 and two Covid-19 related deaths were reported on Saturday by health authorities.

67 people meanwhile have recovered, taking the total number of active cases up to yet another record: 2,749.

Details about the two people to have died are yet to be divulged.

3,293 swab tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of swab tests up to 564,079.

Out of the 193 cases reported on Friday: 49 were family members of previously known cases, 15 were work colleagues of positive cases, 15 were from social gatherings, and another 12 were direct contacts of positive cases.

Malta has now had 15,447 cases of Covid-19.  12,460 of them have recovered, while 238 have died.
