An Italian man and a woman are in hospital after the bike they were on was involved in a traffic accident in Fgura on Saturday afternoon.

The two, both aged 63 and living in Zabbar, were involved in a crash with a Suzuki driven by a 27-year-old man from Marsascala.

The woman suffered serious injuries, the man was slightly hurt.

The accident took place in Cottonera Avenue at 4.30pm.
