PN Leader Bernard Grech has launched a shadow cabinet reshuffle exercise, as MPs were being called in for a meeting with the leader on Monday, the Times of Malta reports.

The MPs were reportedly holding one-on-one meetings with Grech, and that these meetings are expected to continue on Tuesday.

Grech has not reshuffled the shadow cabinet since taking over, and it is normal practice for a new party leader to do so. Grech had said that he wasn't going to rush.

The general election has to take place by next year, and as such the changes made now can be crucial for the PN.
