The number of new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday reached 200, while another death was registered.

The latest victim is an 84-year-old woman, who died at Mater Dei Hospital. The total number of victims is now 242, health authorities said.

Active cases have again climbed to a fresh record, a total of 2,835.

In all, the number of cases registered in Malta is 15,942, with 12,865 recoveries, including 148 recorded today..

The number of swab tests carries out yesterday was 3,481, for a total of 573,665 tests.

Until Monday, the number of vaccine doses administered was 13,002.

For the second day running, the health authorities did not provide details on the new cases.
