Two people were arrested by the police after drugs were found in a vehicle, a statement read.

At 6pm yesterday, a 35-year-old man from Sliema and a 38-year-old woman from Santa Venera were arrested near the Cirkewwa terminal. Their vehicle was searched and a packet containing what the police suspect to be cocaine was found.

The man is expected to be charged today with aggrevated possession and breaching bail conditions.

Investigations are ongoing.
