It means that Malta has now had 258 deaths related to the virus.

The announcement comes as the government announces new restrictive measures for the month of February.

Up until yesterday, 22,371 doses of the vaccine had been administered.  1,694 people have received their second dose of the vaccine as well, including the President of Malta, who tweeted as such last night.

Malta has had 17,192 cases of Covid-19. 14,252 of those have recovered, while 258 have died.
