Malta registered 136 new Covid-19 cases, while 149 patients have recovered, fuigures released by the health authorities show.

Another person has died with the virus. He is an 85-year-old man who died at Mater Dei Hospital.

So far, 25,822 vaccination doses have been administered, of which 2,969 were second doses.

The total number of cases is now 17,721, with 265 deaths.

The number of people who have recovered is 14,775, leaving 2,681 active cases.

Swab tests carried out on Friday totalled 3,431, for an overall 609,737 swab tests.
