The Duke of Edinburgh has been admitted to hospital after feeling unwell, Buckingham Palace announced on Wednesday.
Prince Philip, who is 99 years old, was taken to King Edward VII hospital in London as a precautionary measure on the advice of his doctor, the palace said.
He is expected to remain in hospital for a few days of observation and rest.
Sky News quoted sources saying that the Queen’s husband did not have a coronavirus-related illness and that he walked into hospital unaided.
The same source told Sky News that he travelled there by car and was not an emergency admission.
