A man was seriously injured on Thursday after falling off a ladder, the police said Friday.

The police said that the man was taken to hospital at noon, but it was informed about the accident at 5.30pm.

The man, a Bulgarian aged 48 who resides in Gzira, fell off a ladder while working in a factory at the Mriehel industrial estate.

Magistrate Yana Micallef Stafrace is leading an inquiry.
