A 55-year-old Indian man was grievously injured on Monday after he lost control of his scooter and crashed in Gzira.

The accident took place at around 10:15am in Rue D’Argens, the police said.

The man, who lives in Swieqi, was riding a Peugeot Tweet scooter.

He was given first aid by a medical team on site and was later taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

The police are investigating.
