Around 60 people, the majority elderly, were found playing Tombla in a Hamrun hall, TVM reports.

The Transport Malta enforcement section, together with the health authorities and the police, went on site to the large hall slightly after 3pm, where tens of people were playing Tombla.

TVM reports that some of those present said "We have four days left to live, let us live." It also reports that there was an advert outside the hall for Tombla.
