213 new cases found as three more patients pass away

213 new cases of Covid-19 were reported by health authorities as three more patients passed away while positive for the virus,

Authorities said that during the last 24 hours, two women aged 82 and 69 years and an 84-year-old man had passed away at Mater Dei Hospital while positive for Covid-19.

316 people meanwhile have recovered, taking the total number of active cases down to 3,018.

3,870 swab tests were administered on Sunday, meaning that a total of 758,930 swab tests have been administered so far.

Meanwhile, 122,366 doses of the vaccine have been administered so far, while 39,695 people have received both doses of the vaccine.

Malta has had 26,748 cases of Covid-19 so far.  23,376 of those have recovered, while 354 have died.
