This means that the number of active cases rose slightly to 558. No new deaths were reported.

Malta has had 29,614 cases of Covid-19 since the pandemic first reached the islands, of which 28,654 have recovered and 402 people have died.

240,984 Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered thus far, of which 69,306 were second doses.

1,987 swab tests were carried out on Saturday, for a total thus far of 832,727.
