A 40-year-old man was charged in court today over injuring another man.

The incident dealt with a fight in Port Street in Żebbuġ, Gozo last Saturday, after two men allegedly fought using a broken bottle and a knife.

The 40-year-old was charged with grievously injuring the other man and breaching the peace.

The accused pleaded not guilty and was held under arrest.

The prosecution is being led by inspector Bernard Charles Spiteri.
