Armed Forces of Malta Colonel Brian Gatt was given a final farewell as his funeral took place at the Paola Parish Church on Wednesday morning.

Gatt passed away at the age of 54 on Sunday 4 April.

A valued and well-respected member of the AFM, Gatt at one point served as the head of the detention service.

The Malta Independent photographer Giuseppe Attard was at Paola as Gatt was given his final farewell.
