Illegal structures placed next to a kiosk in Sliema have been removed, the Sliema local council said.
In a post on Facebook, the council said it was “pleased to announce that the illegal structures placed on either side of the kiosk at the Strand have now been removed, following pressure from many residents, spearheaded by the local council.”
The structure was not part of the planning permit and its owners requested the Planning Authority to sanction it.
Sliema residents, backed by the council, complained about the addition and 2,300 signed a petition to have it removed.
