27 new Covid-19 cases reported as 19 recover

27 new cases of Covid-19 were reported by health authorities on Tuesday, as 19 more people recovered from the virus.

No new deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, meaning that Malta’s current death tally remains at 416.

The number of active cases in Malta therefore currently stands at 288.

1,636 swab tests were administered on Monday, taking the total number of swab tests up to 874,285 so far.

346,951 doses of the vaccine were administered as of Monday, with 109,933 people have now received both doses of the jab.

Malta has had 30,381 cases of Covid-19. 29,677 of those have recovered, while 416 have died.
