Prime Minister Robert Abela has gone into quarantine after his wife Lydia tested positive for  Covid-19 on the same day she received the vaccine.

In a Facebook post, Abela said his wife tested positive after doing a test because of upcoming engagements they had.

He said Lydia Abela is in good health and has no symptoms. Abela said he and his daughter Georgia Mae tested negative.

“Naturally, this means that we have to observe a period of quarantine,” he wrote. “Thanks to technology, I will continue with my work, including important meetings, in the coming days.”
