Former Opposition Leader Adrian Delia has challenged his fellow Nationalist MP Jason Azzopardi to sue him for the truth to emerge.
Writing on Facebook, Delia referred to another post on the social media by Azzopardi on his being awarded €1,000 following a libel suit he instituted against Vincent Borg, known as Censu l-Iswed, for comments the latter had made.
Azzopardi said he will be donating the money to charity.
In reply, Delia challenged Azzopardi to publish the 700 messages Azzopardi claims to have about Delia.
Delia asked Azzopardi to explain how only he (Azzopardi) had access to Yorgen Fenech when he (Azzopardi) is not in the police force. Fenech is accused of masterminding the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia, whose family is represented in court by Azzopardi.
Delia also challenged Azzopardi so say how he turned to “independent media” to publish “your deception” on the front page, and to publish proof to sustain what he said about Delia’s connections with Fenech.
The former PN leader challenged Azzopardi to declare all that he had earned and explain how he survived if he had not received any income.
“Explain how close you were to the Fenech family,” Delia said.
He also referred to the time when Azzopardi was in the forefront to create problems for him at the time he was Opposition Leader. “Declare how much you lied and worked against your own party leader when he had been elected democratically,” Delia said.
He also challenged Azzopardi to speak up about a magisterial inquiry which involves him (Azzopardi) and which has been pending for years.
