A biker and a pillion rider were grievously injured in a traffic accident in Rabat on Tuesday afternoon, the police said Wednesday.

The biker, a man aged 29 of Rabat and the rider, a 17-year-old girl from Santa Venera, were both injured after they fell off the bike in Buqana Street at 3.15pm.

They were both taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
