A North Macedonian national wanted in Slovakia over links to organised crime has been arrested in Malta on the strength of a European Arrest Warrant.
The police said the man, 44, is also wanted in connection with armed robberies.
He was arrested by members of the police force’s International Relations Unit.
He is expected to be charged in court on Friday, before Magistrate Yana Micallef Stafrace.
The prosecution will be led by Inspector Mark Galea.
