The pharmacy company Pharma Regulatory Services Limited has issued a right of reply in reaction to a statement published by the Malta High Commission to India, stating that it is “surprised” at how the Commission chose to issue a statement.

The full right of reply as sent by the company’s lawyer is reproduced below:

In your article you refer to a Statement made on the Facebook Page of the Malta High Commission of the Republic of Malta to India in New Delhi (MHC) regarding an expression of interest from Pharma Regulatory Services Limited, wherein it is stated that the Maltese authorities "are not aware of the abovementioned Pharma Company and are not responsible in any way or form for any activities undertaken with regards to the vaccine transaction"

We are highly surprised that the MHC in a most unorthodox manner chose to make the aforementioned statement on its Facebook Page. Be that as it may. A simple check by the MHC with official Government of Malta entities (eg the Malta Business Registry MBR) et.) would show that the Company in question was incorporated in May 2015 and Registered on the 30th June 2015, with an effective `VAT `Registration (MT 22640124) on the 01st July, 2015.

For the record please note also that both Directors of the Company are seasoned professionals with extensive expertise abroad over a number of years, in their respective fields of specialisation.

My Clients have not at this early stage and to date asked the MHC for any help in the matter, nor has the MHC on its part contacted the Company in any way. They will however as a matter of right seek the MHC help should developments so require.

In the meantime my Clients hope that the MHC Statement, is not used by anybody who might have an interest in sinking this project before it comes to fruition, if the case.
