Three new Covid cases found as nine recover

Three new Covid-19 cases were reported by health authorities on Wednesday, while nine more people have recovered from the virus.

This means that the number of active cases currently stands at 45.

No new deaths were reported again, meaning that Malta’s death count remains 419.

1,798 swab tests were carried out on Tuesday, taking the total number of swab tests up to 957,441 so far.

Meanwhile, the vaccine drive has now surpassed the 600,000 dose mark, with a total of 604,033 doses of the vaccine administered up until yesterday.

344,272 of those were a first dose, while 270,754 people are now fully vaccinated.

Malta has had 30,585 cases of the virus. 30,121 of those have recovered, while 419 have died.
