255 employers were caught employing 2,308 people without a work permit in 2020, Finance Minister Clyde Caruana said in response to a Parliamentary Question.

The question was posed by PN MP Ivan Bartolo.

The minister said that Jobsplus takes action against employers, not workers. He said that 130 employers regularised their position, and so 318 of those employees have now been regularised.12 employers were taken to court by the police. The rest will be taken to court.
