An e-scooter rider was grievously injured early on Tuesday morning after she was hit by a car.

The accident took place at the Ferries, Gzira, at 1.45am.

The rider, a French woman who resides in Pieta’, was hit by a Volkswagen driven by a 23-year-old man who also lives in Pueta.

The rider was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
