The Nationalist Party has called a General Council between 10 and 17 July. The General Council was due to be held earlier this year but was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The PN said the council will include discussions on politics, amendments to the party statute, and the elections for the President of the General Council and the council’s representatives on the Executive Committee.
18 representatives will be chosen, and a system will be used to ensure that at least six men, six women, four youths and two representatives from Gozo are elected. Candidates have until Tuesday 6 July to submit their nominations.
This will conclude the process to renew the Executive Committee, the party said.
Party Leader Bernard Grech and Secretary General Francis Zammit Dimech will address both opening and closing sessions.
