Two bikers were grievously injured in two separate accidents on Wednesday.

The first to be hurt was an American, aged 46 of Mellieha, who lost control of the Lexmoto bike he was riding anf crashed into a Smart car being driven in the opposite direction by a 56-year-old man of Zebbug, Gozo.

The accident took place in Wardija Road, Mgarr at 6pm. The biker was taken to hospital.

The second accident took place on Wednesday at 11pm in Ghar Dalam Road, Ghaxaq.

A motorcyclist was grievously injured when he lost control of the bike he was riding and fell, the police said.

The biker, a man aged 46 who resides in Marsascala, was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
