Six new Covid-19 cases found as active cases go over 50 mark

Six new cases of Covid-19 were reported by health authorities on Friday, taking the number of active cases to above the 50 mark.

No recoveries were reported, while no new deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours, meaning that the number of active cases stands at 52.

2,717 swab tests were carried out on Thursday, taking the total number of swab tests up to 990,874 so far.

Meanwhile, 675,014 doses of the vaccine have been administered, with the 360,364 of those being first doses.

328,960 people are now fully vaccinated.

Malta has had 30,633 cases so far. 30,161 of those have recovered, while 420 have died.
