A 39-year-old Spanish motorcycle was grievously injured in a traffic accident on Wednesday morning.

The accident took place on Regional Road, Santa Venra, at around 8:15am, the police said.

The man lost control of his Peugeot Citystar and fell. He was given first aid on site by a medical team and was later transferred to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

Members of the Civil Protection Department also provided assistance.

Police investigations are ongoing.
