A fire broke out in a penthouse on Triq Birkirkara in St Julian's at around 11.30am on Tuesday.
The fire was quickly put out by members of the Civil Protection Department.
One man was treated for smoke inhalation.
At least three fire engines, one of them equipped with a high-lifter, were on site along with an ambulance.
Police officers were also on site to control the traffic flow.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
