Minister Michael Farrugia has been discharged from Mater Dei Hospital hospital after he was admitted to hospital on Tuesday.

Farrugia announced that he had tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday and as a result he was admitted to hospital for further testing.

Since all medical testing showed no complications, Farrugia was discharged from hospital. He will continue quarantining at home.

Farrugia said that since he was fully-vaccinated against Covid-19, the effect of the virus is mild. 

He thanked all medical staff for their support and dedication as well as Prime Minister Robert Abela, Health Minister Chris Fearne and Opposition Leader Bernard Grech who kept in touch and showed their support.
