Both the Attorney General as well as two architects have appealed a court judgment in which the two men were found guilty of the involuntary homicide of Miriam Pace when her house in Hamrun collapsed next to an excavation site.

Last month Perit Roderick Camilleri and Perit Anthony Mangion were found guilty, by negligence, of the involuntary killing of Miriam Pace.

They were sentenced to 480 and 400 hours of community work respectively, while also fined €10,000 and €8,000. They were to retain their warrant, the court, presided by Magistrate Joe Mifsud, ruled.

Criminal proceedings are also being faced buy contractor Ludwig Dimech and worker Nicholas Spiteri.
