Different workplaces are adopting different Covid-19 measures, creating confusion, UĦM Voice of the Workers said.

The union said it had received complaints from employees regarding certain Covid-19 measures which are being introduced on the initiative of the employers.

“This is causing confusion at the workplace and is symptomatic of the fact that rather than adopting a common strategy, each workplace is behaving as if it was a Mini-Public Health Authority.”

UHM said it has always urged workers to comply with the policies and procedures issued by the Health Authorities and is not willing to accept public health policies drafted by the employers.

“While the Union calls for the matter to be resolved around the table, it is keeping all options open including resorting to industrial action if no solution is found.”
