Michael Piccinino has been appointed Secretary General of the Nationalist Party.

He was elected to the post during a meeting of the party’s executive committee, with 77 votes in favour, eight against and one abstention.

He takes over from PN stalwart Francis Zammit Dimech.

The party also said that Joseph Grech has been elected chairman of the executive committee with 69 votes in favour, 14 against and one abstention.

Graham Bencini has been elected as chairman of the Administrative Committee, with 75 votes in favour, 8 against and one abstention.

Roselyn Borg Knight was confirmed as the PN’s International Secretary, with 66 votes in favour, 15 against and three abstentions.
