Health authorities said Friday 111 new Covid-19 cases were registered, while 199 patients recovered.

The number of cases recorded in Malta has risen to 34,201, with 423 deaths, while 34, 410 infected people recovered.

The number of active cases has now dropped to below 2,000, at 1,972.

The health authorities said 3,693 swab tests were carried out, for a total of 1,087,183.

Until Thursday, the number of vaccination doses administered totalled 755,655, of which 398,444 were first doses.

In all, 379,016 people are fully vaccinated.

The health authorities said that the average age of the 95 new cases registered on Thursday was 33.

There are 36 patients receiving treatment in hospital, one of whom is in intensive care.
