51 new Covid-19 cases registered, as over 400,000 now fully vaccinated

51 new cases of Covid-19 were registered by health authorities on Thursday.

118 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, and with no new deaths reported the number of active cases has dipped to 741.

42 Covid positive patients are currently being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, four of whom are in the hospital’s Intensive Therapy Unit.

3,417 swab tests were administered on Wednesday, taking the total so far up to 1,129,787.

780,770 doses of the vaccine had been administered by health staff up until Wednesday, with 406,414 of those being a first dose.

401,390 people are now fully vaccinated.

Malta has had 35,091 cases of Covid-19 so far. 33,525 of those have recovered, while 429 have died.
