Fifty-seven new Covid-19 cases were registered on Monday, while 37 patients have recovered.

Health authorities said that the number of active cases is now 687.

In all, Malta has registered 35,831 cases, with 34,312 recoveries and 436 deaths.

The number of swab tests carried out on Sunday was 2,656, for a total of 1,164,947.

There are 39 persons in hospital, the authorities said. Three of them are in intensive care.

The number of vaccination doses administered so far is closing in on 800,000.
