The government, through Malta Enterprise, is supporting a €9 million investment by S.A.W. Ltd, a local, family-run, bespoke furniture business aiming to become more sustainable and generate further international investments.
Addressing the media on Monday, Enterprise Minister Miriam Dalli spoke about the way the government is helping industry recover from the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
S.A.W Ltd. has completed large-scale projects such as Le Meridien in St. Julians, Radisson Golden Sands, Dolmen, Corinthia Palm City-Libya, Bloomberg Moscow as well as Regus in Moscow.
The 30-year-old company which employs 70 is now seeking to invest in renewable energy, new technology and human resources.
S.A.W Ltd started off in owner Stephen Azzopardi’s garage but it quickly expanded and has recently moved to a 6,000-square-metre factory in Qormi.
