An 18-year-old Colombian woman was seriously injured in a traffic accident in St Julian's.

The accident occurred on Triq Sant' Andrija at 12.45pm.  She was hit by a van and ended up underneath it.

A medical team, civil protection officers and police were called on site.

An ambulance drove her to Mater Dei Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
