An e-scooter rider was grievously injured on Tuesday afternoon in an accident in Burmarrad, the police said.

The accident took place in Burmarrad Road at 5pm.

The rider, a 25-year-old man from St Paul’s Bay, was involved in a crash with a Toyota Vitz driven by a 40-year-old woman of Mellieha.

The man was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
