Covid-19: 40 new cases, woman dies

Forty new cases of Covid-19 were registered today, while a woman has died with the virus, the health authorities said.

The latest victim is aged 61, and her death takes the total number to 439.

The authorities saud that there are 29 patients in hospital with Covid, two of whom are in intensive care.

In all, there have been 35,990 cases recorded in Malta, and the 66 who recovered today take the number of recovweries to 34,513.

The number of swab tests taken on Thursday amounted to 3,411, for a total of 1,178,309.

The authorities saud that 794,531 vaccination doses had been administered by Thursday, with 411,422 people who are fully vaccinated.
