Covid-19: 48 new cases, one more death

Forty-eight new Covid-19 cases were registered on Tuesday, while one patients has died, health authorities said.

The latest victim is a 73-year-old man who died at Mater Dei Hospital, taking the tally to 441.

The total number of cases recorded in Malta is now 36,171, with 34,678 recoveries, including 25 registered today.

The number of active cases in now 656. It has been stable between 600 and 700 since 14 August.

The swab tests taken on Monday totalled, 3,117, for an overall 1,190,315.

There are 29 patients receiving treatment at Mater Dei Hospital, one of whom is in intensive care.

The number of vaccination doses administered is now 796,333, with 412,419 people fully vaccinated.
