A 75-year-old motorcyclist was grievously injured in a traffic accident that took place in St Julian’s on Wednesday.

The accident took place in Triq Sant’ Andrija at around 3:30pm, the police said.

The man, who is from Naxxar, was riding a Honda motorbike that was involved in a collision with a Honda Accord. The car was being driven by a 57-year-old man from Swieqi.

The motorcyclist was given first aid on site and was later taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

Police investigations are ongoing.
