A 59-year-old woman was grievously injured on Wednesday after she fell from a height inside a residence in Żebbuġ.

The accident took place at around 11:30am in Triq Dun Karm Psaila.

The police said the woman was cleaning when she fell from a height of one storey.

She was given first aid on site by a medical team and was later taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

Police investigations are ongoing.
